Nigerian music star, Davido, has sensationally revealed that he never had 30 billion naira in his bank account as he claimed in one of his songs that went viral last year.
Davido, who is the son of billionaire, Deji Adeleke, made the headlines for different reasons last year and is one of the music stars that rocked the year.
In his popular track, Davido had boasted of having N30 billion in his account and made many of his fans believe the figure was true. But the singer has come out to deny the claim, saying he never had such amount of money in his account.
Reacting to questions from his fans on Twitter during what he tagged #AskDavido, the IF singer was asked if truly he had N30 billion in his account, Davido said no, adding that one of the biggest obstacles one needed to overcome to become successful in the music industry is hate.
The music star also cleared the air about the slapping incident that occurred between him and Kizz Daniel’s manager during his concert back in December 2018.
Davido was alleged to have slapped Daniel’s manager at the sold-out concert and drew the ire of many people, especially Daniel’s,  fans who described his attitude as unruly.
Reacting to the allegation, the father of two, Davido, denied slapping anyone at the concert, insisting that even Daniel knew he didn’t slap his manager.
“God knows I can never slap his manager! He knows himself I didn’t. It’s all love always! It hurts me how they switched up on me after all I did. It’s cool though, life goes on,” he said.
Davido, who has about five artistes on the Davido Music Worldwide (DMW) record label, hinted that despite the success of all the artistes on his label, he had never collected a dime from any of them, adding that he would rather encourage them to use their money to invest in themselves.
“I have never collected a dime from any of my artistes despite the fact that they are under contracts. I don’t need their money, I’d rather use it to invest in themselves,” he said.
